Each pen is custom built and it really depends upon the type of pen and material ordered. As soon as the pen is handmade it will be shipped. No pens are made and kept.
Absolutely most of the ballpoint pens take Parker style refills although I recommend German Schmidt refills for both the ballpoint and rollerball pens.
